Actor and writer Amelia Bullmore gave a talk on her extensive theatre, television & film career, followed by a Q&A.
Amelia shared with us her ‘household tips’ for young actors. Topics ranged from how to deal with being scared in auditions and performance, line learning and looking at how good things can happen from your plans going wrong!
She also talked about combining writing with acting, with particular reference to television.
Amelia’s theatre credits include The Norman Conquests (Old Vic & Broadway) The Crucible (Sheffield), Road (Royal Court), Measure for Measure (National Theatre), A View From the Bridge & Romeo & Juliet (Royal Exchange), All My Sons (Liverpool Everyman) and Sweet Bird of Youth (Citizens Theatre).
Her television credits include the popular television detective drama series Scott & Bailey (for which she has also written several episodes), Lewis, Twenty Twelve, Shameless, Poirot, Ashes to Ashes, State of Play, Coronation Street & Cracker
