Adjoa worked with Masterclass members on Scene Rhythm, Musicality in text form and Using the texts. The plays she looked at were Jesus Hopped the ‘A’ Train by Adly Guirgis and Shakespeare’s Macbeth.

Everyone was given extracts from these plays on arrival and there was an opportunity to work onstage.

About Adjoa

In a career spanning over 30 years Adjoa has worked extensively at the National Theatre and the Royal Shakespeare Company amongst others. On film and TV she is probably best known for Clint Eastwood's Invictus, playing Chief of Staff to Morgan Freeman's Mandela, Sister Colette Griffiths in Casualty and Martha Jones' mum Francine in Dr Who. For several decades Adjoa has regularly worked on BBC radio and amongst numerous audiobook recordings, she is the award-winning narrator of the The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency series.
