Her theatre work includes Anatomy of a Suicide at the Royal Court, A Doll’s House at the Young Vic, West End and New York (for which she was awarded the Best actress prize at the Critics’ Circle Awards in 2013 and won the Natasha Richardson Award for Best Actress at the Evening Standard Theatre Awards in 2012 for her portrayal of Nora), The Changeling at Shakepeare’s Globe, Plenty at Sheffield Crucible, The Real Thing at the Old Vic, Time and the Conways, The Seagull and Iphigenia at Aulis at the National, Family Reunion at the Donmar and Night of the Soul, The Prisoner’s Dilemma and Hamlet for the RSC.

Television credits include Inside No 9, My Mother and Other Strangers, The Outcast, Arthur and George, The Bletchley Circle, Law and Order, Midsomer Murders, Outnumbered, Lewis, Lark Rise to Candleford, Marple, Trial and Retribution, Sense & Sensibility and New Tricks.
