For the very first time Masterclass will be represented at the Virgin Money London Marathon. We're one of only 500 charities with the opportunity to have someone running the famous 26.2 mile route for us- and we'd love it to be you!

The event takes place on 23 April 2017 and we have one guaranteed place available. We won’t have another place for 4 years so we're looking to make you the face of our campaign, hopefully leading to our most successful fundraising achievement to date.

Apply to run for Masterclass

This is our first ever slot in the London Marathon and as places are incredibly sought after, we’d really love to make the most of it! We have a target of £2,500 (excluding Gift Aid), which may seem ambitious, but from the first minute of training, to waving flags at the finish line we will be here to help you every single step of the way with your fundraising efforts.

Places to run the marathon are extremely limited. Over 250,000 applied last year for 39,000 slots so we anticipate alot of interest. In the form below please tell us about yourself and explain why you’d love to represent Masterclass at the 2017 marathon.

Please fill out the form by clicking below.

Since training and preparation needs to start asap, the closing date for applications will be 24th October at 5pm

If you have any questions, queries or would just like to talk to one of the team, feel free to email us at:

Why support Masterclass?

"...I’m really worried about the cuts that are coming to state education for people in low-income families because I don’t think low income means low talent or low education or low intelligence.”
 - Jessica Hynes, Master, May 2015

The arts has been one of the sectors most affected by government cuts. As youth groups close and university fees go up, we’re here to support young people in the early stages of their theatrical career.

All of our opportunities remain free for young people aged 16-30, allowing them to fully realise their potential regardless of income or background. The only way we are able to continue doing this is through the generous in-kind and financial backing from our supporters.
