In early December, 2015 the Masterclass team hosted a glamorous tea at the Theatre Royal Haymarket in association with the Villandry Café. Guests were treated to a tour of the stunning Theatre Royal Haymarket, taken up onto the set of Mr. Foote’s Other Leg and given a special glimpse into the mechanics of the show.

There was a brief talk with the show’s writer, Ian Kelly, before they all took their seats to watch the performance. The afternoon finished off with a beautiful spread of cakes, scones, sandwiches and mouth-watering macarons. The whole cast came down and joined in the festivities to round off a wonderful afternoon.

A Gala Evening With The Elephant Man

18th June, 2015

June saw Masterclass host a gala evening with The Elephant Man to help raise funds for the Masterclass programme! The evening started with guests enjoying a pre-show champagne reception before watching the Tony-nominated play The Elephant Man with four time Oscar nominated star, Bradley Cooper.

After this, guests and cast sat down to dinner in the glamorous Pool Room of the Haymarket Hotel with their tables being named after Masterclass alumni members. Brochures were set at each place illustrated with testimonials from apprentices, masterclass attendees, professionals from the sector and the masters themselves. Guests were then treated to a sumptuous dinner which we can all be jealous of!

Attention then turned to the silent auction. With the exclusivity of the packages making them very unique, it made it all the more exciting to win! The evening was rounded off by a speech from the chairman of Masterclass and The Theatre Royal Haymarket, Arnold Crook, thanking all who put the evening together and to the generosity of the attendees.
