About SimonSimon is a writer and actor living between London and Yorkshire.
Simon was the recipient of the inaugural Masterclass ‘Pitch Your Play’ award in 2013 with his first play The Undone Years which received an industry reading on the stage at the Theatre Royal Haymarket, starring Amanda Abbington, Phoebe Fox and Trevor Cooper. He has since developed the stage play into a screenplay, Skylark Ridge.
Other writing theatre credits include: The Cally (Park Theatre for Park Scratchings) and an industry reading of Set Fire to the Sea (The Criterion).
Simon’s acting theatre credits include: The Bodyguard (UK and International Tour), A Clockwork Orange (Park Theatre/Soho Theatre/International Tour), Titus Andronicus and Romeo & Juliet (Action to the Word) and The Dumb Waiter (Yvonne Arnaud Theatre).
Television acting includes: Hanna (Amazon/NBC Productions), Outlander (Sony/Starz Productions), Emmerdale (ITV), Doctors (BBC), Bloody Queens (BBC) and Murder Maps (3DD Productions).
Simon’s film work includes: playing Ronnie Kray in the films The Rise of the Krays (Saracen Films) and The Fall of the Krays (Saracen Films) which won Best Independent Film at the 2017 National Film Awards, The Unseen (Magnet Films), Undercover Hooligan (Picture Perfect Films), Rise of the Footsoldier 3 (Carnaby Films), Ride By (Ockham Films), Among the Shadows (VMI Worldwide), Godless and The Monster (Short, FMW Films).
His first commissioned feature film, Arthur and Merlin: Knights of Camelot, will be released by Signature Entertainment on Netflix in July 2020.
