Olivier and BAFTA award-winning actor Monica Dolan led a Shakespeare workshop. This practical session for 25 people explored various exercises on speaking Shakespeare, with participatory opportunities for everyone involved. Monica also worked on a few speeches chosen on the day.

Monica Dolan is a BAFTA and Olivier award winning actress whose work spans stage, television and film. Highlights include Appropriate Adult (for which she won the BAFTA), The Witness for the Prosecution, The Casual Vacancy, feature film Eye In The Sky and of course W1A.

Other recent credits include Stephen Frears’ A Very English Scandal (BAFTA nomination Best Supporting Actress), Black Mirror, Appropriate at the Donmar Warehouse, and playing ‘Karen’ in Ivo van Hove’s production All About Eve at the Noël Coward Theatre (Olivier Award win).

Monica just wrapped on upcoming film The Dig opposite Ralph Fiennes and Carey Mulligan. Her work on feature films Rialto and The Days of the Bagnold Summer will be out in 2020.
