The talk focused on Danila’s journey of first becoming a successful actor in Russia and then embarking on an acting career abroad, whilst simultaneously pursuing directing, and the associated challenges and decisions that he faced during these transitions.The talk was followed by a Q&A.
Danila Kozlovsky is a renown European and Russian actor, director and producer. He starred in the latest season of MGM's Vikings series, as well as BBC distributed McMafia, as well as critically acclaimed Russian films like Alexey German Jr's Dovlatov and Ilya Naishuller's Hardcore Henry. In 2019 he debuted as Director with the sport drama The Coach and is currently directing and producing a number of films set to launch in the next two years.
Filip Perkon, who hosted the talk, is the Founder and General Producer of the Russian Film Week and the Golden Unicorn Awards, through Perkon Productions. He has been producing events since the age of 16 and now boasts a portfolio of more than 50 completed projects. He is also a frequent speaker on event production and startup investing. Filip is part of the World Economic Forum's Global Shapers community and a board member of the Russian Community Council in the UK.
