Musical Wonderland is a duo made up of Amy Kakoura & Jessica Duncan.

Having found themselves with no foreseeable performance opportunities, the pair decided to take matters into their own hands by creating online concerts. Their aim is to bring you the best repertoire musical theatre has to offer and to also reimagine classic musical standards - from Billy Porter to Cole Porter, and there’s even a Sondheim ‘isolation’ themed medley. They started off with just a foil curtain hung up in Amy’s living room and an iPhone, but now have built their own studio to stream from. They have used this second lockdown to work on their branding and musical arrangements with a view to touring their show once theatres are back up and running again. Their next concert is on Sunday 13th December at 6pm and will be streamed live to their Facebook page.

Writer Naomi Joseph has created four visual Letters To Hope. Naomi was commissioned as part of Arts at the Old Fire Station's Lights Up, to create a piece of work on the theme of ‘relationships’. Part spoken word, part vlog, each Letter shows a different phase in Naomi's friendship with Hope, it explores the human connection to Hope, and reflects the different ways such a huge feeling can manifest in our everyday lives.

Our protagonists were custom-made for Magda Goebbels, the unoficial First Lady of Nazi Germany. But the Nazi utopia was never realised, so what happens to them next? Once the epitome of style, and at the forefront of a powerful regime, now they are struggling to adapt in a newly-united world. They have been passed from owner to owner with no control, through the decades of history. This is their chance - the tables are turned when these unexpected voices get to tell their own story. They decide to have a conversation about blame and responsibility. And it's time to pay attention, because it's our version of history they're questioning.

STIGMAcollective aims to create work that starts difficult conversations about topics that are not broached but should be. Collectively.

Available to watch online until 20 December

Escape room meets immersive theatre, at home!

Stuck in lockdown, ANTS decided to create an entirely new form of theatre to experience from the safety of your sofa! In this ground-breaking new show, called We Still Fax, you will receive a mysterious fax machine in the post. The machine will guide you on a sci-fi journey and connect you to someone in an alternate dimension; someone who needs your help! Tasked with their ridiculously important mission, you will need to crack codes, send faxes, unlock secret hatches and, when the time comes, push the big, red button. ANTS have repurposed four fully-functioning fax machines that they will send to audiences in the post ahead of performances; at your show time, you plug it in, and it comes to life – simple! No zoom, no skype, no laptops or phones. This is old-school fun like you’ve never experienced before! We Still Fax premiers in January, but you can gift the show this Christmas, with a secret lockbox and a fax scroll being sent to the recipient. Of course, you’ll need to keep this safe, as the lockbox will unlock the show, as well as another dimension…

Starts 7 January

A play from Manchester School of Theatre.

A young woman in a bright yellow dress has been shot by the police. As the video of the shooting goes viral a revolution begins to stir. Ali and Leyla are panicking – they uploaded the footage and now the authorities are after them. In London, a woman has seen the video and wants to help. Yasmin is desperate to know if her missing Mother is still alive. As events begin to spiral out of control, the tension between truth and artifice becomes ever more strained in this ‘startlingly theatrical look at what happens when it all kicks off’.

16 - 19 December 2020. Available to watch online for free.
