Kulvinder spoke about ‘Longevity in a Career’ and worked with participants on some significant speeches from his life as an actor. These included a monologue from the 1978 film Midnight Express, plus Bottom’s dream speech from A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

About Kulvinder

Kulvinder Ghir is a British actor whose career has spanned over 30 years including a
wide range of credits on stage, screen and radio. He can most recently be seen starring in Gurinder Chadha’s feature Blinded By The Light which has just been released in UK cinemas. This is his third collaboration with the writer and director - prior to this he was seen in the ITV series Beecham House which was released earlier this year and this all follows on from his role in the BAFTA nominated film Bend It Like Beckham.

Kulvinder has just completed filming for series 6 of Still Open All Hours for the BBC where
he is reprising the regular role of Cyril. Recent theatre work includes East is East at the
Octagon Theatre, A Midsummer Night's Dream directed by Sir Trevor Nunn at the New
Wosley Theatre and Much Ado About Nothing at the RSC.

Kulvinder is also well known as one part of the quartet behind the hugely successful BBC
comedy Goodness Gracious Me. Other notable credits include Rita, Sue & Bob Too and Jadoo.

He has also voiced a number of projects, including Postman Pat: Special Delivery Service as Ajay Bains.
