About Nina
Nina is a scenic artist based in Bristol. She started getting involved in her local theatres as a teenager, before heading to Rose Bruford College to study BA Theatre Design. After graduating, Nina worked as a set and costume designer and scenic painter, then studied for an MA in Scenic Art with the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.
She has painted for various theatre companies and workshops, festivals, murals and TV shows. As a scenic artist it is her job to realise the ideas of set designers, working carefully in conjunction with them to bring designs to life. Usually, it involves scaling up a small model or reference to life-size, by applying a variety of painting techniques.
Nina loves the variety her job offers and is keen to share her knowledge.
