Latitude Festival 2024 - Workshop Host Callout

Other

Date

May 27, 2024

Time

Deadline: 27 May, 10.00am

Venue

We are looking for creatives to plan and deliver workshops at Latitude Festival 2024.

This year at Latitude Festival (25-28 July), Masterclass will be taking over a Shed in the Faraway Forest! We'll be running fun workshops to inspire young people to express themselves creatively and consider a career in theatre. We are looking for a handful for creatives to host hour-long workshops, daily, over the weekend, introducing young people to specific aspects of theatre - from clowning to scriptwriting, devising to design, we're open to your ideas!

As it's a festival, there will be participants of all ages attending and usually between 15 and 25 participants per workshop. Please note: The floor of the Faraway Forest can be uneven with tree roots, so this will need to be considered when planning your workshop. Workshops will also go ahead rain or shine!

You will receive a free weekend ticket to Latitude, and will be paid London Living Wage for your working time. (~10 hours including prep and promotion). You will also receive £50 for your travel, vouchers for 1 meal each day, and expenses for workshop materials if necessary.

You will be expected to bring your own camping equipment and arrange your own travel. You will be camping in the performers' area, with access to toilets, parking, and hot showers. You can purchase an optional £75 guest pass if you would like to bring a friend.

You MUST be a Masterclass member to apply (Aged 16-30 - Sign Up Now), and fully available for 25 - 28 July.

How to Apply

Please complete this Application Form. If Google forms are inaccessible for you, we also accept video/audio files or CV/Cover letters to info@masterclass.org.uk with the Subject Title: LATITUDE HOST followed by your name.

We are open to your suggestions for workshops - the only 'rule' is that workshops must be sustainable. If you're using physical resources, they must fit with the green ethos of the festival. For example, making masks from from recycled materials, making flower headdresses from natural materials, etc.

Closing date: Monday 27 May, 10am.
