Masterclass and Eleanor Lloyd Productions are seeking applications for a Wardrobe Internship on A Christmas Carol: A Ghost Story. This is an exciting development opportunity for someone who wishes to further their theatre career and gain the experience to become a Wardrobe professional on large-scale commercial productions.

A Christmas Carol: A Ghost Story, Mark Gatiss' acclaimed retelling of Dickens' winter ghost story returns to the hauntingly atmospheric Alexandra Palace with a brilliant new cast. The Wardrobe Intern will be involved in the production throughout Get-In, Tech, Previews and Shows, and will have the opportunity to learn about working in a Wardrobe department, supporting a large cast with quick changes and managing period costume.

The internship will run from November 2023 to January 2024.

Criteria for Applying

Candidates must be 18+ and must commit to the full contract.

Candidates must be a Masterclass Member (click here for more info & to join for free.)

Candidates must have the right to work in the UK for the full duration of the internship.

Candidates who have completed a degree or higher education qualification are eligible to apply, as are candidates who are currently studying at a UK educational institution, provided that they can commit to the full contract and days and hours of work.

Candidates who have not undertaken a degree or higher education qualification are also eligible to apply, provided that they can demonstrate the skills and abilities below.

Candidates from backgrounds which are currently underrepresented in the offstage workforce are particularly welcome, although we regret that there is not step-free access throughout the venue.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate:

• Some sewing and costume maintenance skills

• A keen interest in theatre and a desire to learn on the job

• Flexibility and the ability to work well as part of a team.

• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

• An ability to work calmly under pressure and solve problems if they arise.
