Eve Best’s award winning, extensive theatre work includes The Duchess of Malfi at the Old Vic, Much Ado about Nothing, Macbeth and Cleopatra at the Globe, Hedda Gabler (for which she won an Olivier Award) at the Almeida & West End, Mourning Becomes Electra, Three Sisters, The Cherry Orchard, The Heiress and The Coast of Utopia at the National, A Moon for the Misbegotton at the Old Vic & on Broadway (Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Actress in a Play), ‘Tis pity She’s a Whore at the Young Vic and The Homecoming and Old Times on Broadway.

Eve’s numerous television credits include her co-starring role in the hugely popular American TV show Nurse Jackie, Prime Suspect, The Honourable Woman, The Shadow Line, The Inspector Lynley Mysteries, Waking the Dead, Shackleton and Other People’s Children.

Eve played Wallis Simpson in the film The King’s Speech.
