Jessica Cheetham, Spun Glass Theatre - Making Work for Families

Coffee with Creatives

Date

February 02, 2023

Time

11am - 12.30pm

Venue

Online

Lyn Gardner recently wrote in The Stage "theatre professionals who devalue kids' theatre need to grow up!" and we agree. This Coffee with Creatives is an exciting opportunity to learn about making work for the industry's youngest theatre goers and the opportunities here to build your career.

Jessica is looking to meet young theatre makers interested in making work for families – from contemporary dance to Shakespeare, clowning to classical music. Learn how to secure funding for your projects, hear about opportunities to develop new work, and also help to shape Spun Glass Theatre’s artist development programme.

Jessica Cheetham is the Executive Director of Spun Glass Theatre who have recently established Hastings’ newest venue the Mini Playhouse under the creative direction of Ross Drury. Spun Glass Theatre blends ground-breaking theatre making with excellent community engagement and creates bold, visual theatre productions for all ages.
