Nevergreen is based on the real life of Rachel Carson, the scientist and writer of Silent Spring. Carson exposed the world to the danger of chemical pollutants for the first time, and is perhaps the most important figure in environmentalism's history.
Nevergreen is a play about Carson’s life and mind, from her childhood in the woods of Pennsylvania to her pioneering work as a scientist and writer overcoming poverty and prejudice, to the battle over her final, earth-shaking work.
This Script Session is currently full. However you can apply for future sessions here.
Script Sessions give playwrights the opportunity to meet with other young creatives and receive feedback on their scripts.
These very relaxed and informal sessions give playwrights valuable early feedback, while young actors get to practice their table reading skills, directors can share their vision for the piece and designers create quick response sketches. It's a great chance to network with other creatives, and give feedback on new work.
