When Gemma moves back to her family home and meets her teenage brother Teddy's secret girlfriend, she is confronted by memories of relationships under the same family roof in her own past. Teddy tells Gemma that his girlfriend is pregnant, and she is forced to prioritise the care of her sibling over her trauma and hate.
